During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, we were tasked with boosting J&T Express’ online presence by leveraging soccer superstar Lionel Messi, their new global brand ambassador.

As J&T Express is based in a dozen countries throughout the world, we knew we had to come up with a multi-channel campaign to make sure we could reach out to the highest number of people in each of those countries.

For this campaign, we decided to split our advertising efforts into both branding and CPC (bid) ads. Branding ads benefit from better placements and offer a high impact for brand image, while CPC ads are generally cheaper and can scale better. The combination of both helped us reach our goals for this campaign: brand image boost and maximum exposure.

While ads work perfectly to get a lot of exposure, we also decided to work with influencers around the world to take advantage of their content platforms and reach high degrees of engagement.

The campaign lasted less than a month (the World Cup’s duration) but required us to launch, manage, and optimize multi-channel ad campaigns, on top of coordinating with influencers to produce the best endorsement videos possible. Our team worked tirelessly to achieve those goals, and we delivered exceptional results.
